From Recycled Paper to Sculptural Decor: An Early Look at Our New Sustainable Collection
A New Sustainable Project in the Making
At our studio, we are always exploring new ideas that combine thoughtful design with responsible material choices. Today we are excited to share an early preview of a new project that we are currently developing — a collection of decorative vases and bowls created from recycled paper materials.
This project is still in the design and experimentation phase, but we wanted to give you a first glimpse into the direction we are exploring and the values that are shaping this upcoming collection.
Designing with Sustainability in Mind
Sustainability plays an increasingly important role in the way we think about design and production. With this new project, our goal is to create decorative pieces that are not only visually interesting but also environmentally responsible.
The main material used for the collection will be recycled paper, transformed into paper clay and paper mâché. By using discarded paper as a primary resource, we aim to give new life to materials that would otherwise end up as waste.
This approach allows us to reduce the need for new raw materials while exploring creative ways to turn recycled elements into beautiful objects for the home. It is a small step toward a more sustainable and mindful way of producing decorative pieces.
Inspired by Prehistoric Pottery
The design direction for this collection is inspired by the raw beauty of prehistoric pottery. Early ceramic vessels often had organic shapes, textured surfaces, and an honesty in their construction that feels timeless.
We are drawing inspiration from these ancient forms while introducing a modern design perspective. The result we are aiming for is a series of decorative objects that feel both primitive and contemporary at the same time — pieces that carry a sense of history while fitting naturally into modern interiors.
Textured surfaces, imperfect shapes, and earthy finishes will play an important role in creating objects that feel authentic, tactile, and sculptural.
Every Piece Will Be Unique
Because these objects will be handcrafted using paper clay and paper mâché techniques, each piece will naturally develop its own character during the making process.
No two vases or bowls will be identical. Slight variations in texture, shape, and surface will make every object one-of-a-kind, giving each piece its own story and personality.
Rather than striving for uniformity, we want to embrace the beauty of individual craftsmanship, where imperfections and subtle differences become part of the design.
A Project Still Taking Shape
As mentioned, this collection is still in the early stages of design and experimentation. We are currently testing forms, textures, and construction methods to refine the final pieces.
Sharing this early stage with you is part of the creative journey. It allows us to explore ideas openly and gradually shape the project into something that truly reflects our values of design, craftsmanship, and sustainability.
We look forward to sharing more updates as the project evolves.
Looking Ahead
Our hope is that this new collection will become a meaningful addition to our range of decorative pieces, objects that celebrate sustainable materials, handcrafted design, and timeless inspiration.
Stay tuned as we continue developing this project and bring these ideas closer to reality.
